Gas fitter or gas plumber?
The two terms overlap. In practice, people use “gas fitter” or “gas plumber” for an engineer who installs, repairs and services gas appliances and pipework. What matters is that they are on the Gas Safe Register for the work. Ask to see their ID card, and check it.
What we do not do
We do not install or repair gas fires, warm-air heating or oil boilers. Gas fires can be checked as part of a gas safety check, charged separately. New gas supplies from the mains to the property, and meter work, are arranged through the gas network or your supplier.
Pricing
Repair diagnosis is £92.50 for the first 45 minutes. Gas safety check: £92.50 for up to two appliances, plus £22.50 for each additional appliance. Gas fires are charged separately.
