Gas pipe installation
We can run a new gas pipe to a boiler, cooker, hob or fire, extend or reroute existing pipework, or cap off a pipe that is no longer needed. Every job finishes with a tightness test, and the pipework is labelled and supported correctly.
Upgrading the gas supply for a new boiler
Many new boilers need a larger gas pipe from the meter, often 22mm, to get enough gas at full output. An undersized pipe can stop a new boiler working properly.
Every online boiler price includes a gas pipe check at the free survey. If an upgrade is needed, it is priced before you agree to anything.
Gas pipe repairs
Corroded, damaged or poorly supported pipework, a gas pipe that has been knocked or disturbed during building work, or a failed tightness test all need a Gas Safe engineer.

If you smell gas, the emergency service makes the supply safe first; we can then repair the pipework.

Can I move the gas meter?
The meter belongs to your gas supplier and is moved by them, not by an engineer. We can work on the pipework after the meter.
Can a gas pipe be run under the floor or in a wall?
Yes, if the regulations for that route are followed – for example sleeving through walls and protection under floors. The engineer explains the options at the visit.
Is making good included?
Lifting floorboards, chasing walls and making good are agreed in the quote. Decorating is not normally included.
Who does the work
Gas work must only be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Work is carried out by one of our approved installation partners, registered for the work involved. Your written quotation names the installer, who your contract is with, and your warranty and workmanship guarantee.
