Tell us whether one radiator or several are affected, whether the boiler is working, and whether there has been a change in system pressure. The symptoms help us plan the assessment; they do not establish the cause on their own.
Replacement & installation
Planning to replace a radiator or heated towel rail? Send the existing dimensions, pipe positions and any proposed replacement details.
Suitability, output, wall fixings, valve connections and pipework are assessed before installation is agreed. A different size or position may need additional work.
Valves & heating controls
Radiator valves and thermostatic radiator valves can be assessed for repair or replacement. Tell us if a valve is leaking, seized or no longer controls the radiator as expected.
Compatibility with your heating system and controls matters. Existing controls, pipework changes and any system draining or refilling needed are included in the assessment of the job.

Choose the work after the cause is understood
A cold radiator does not automatically mean that a new radiator or power flush is needed. The problem may involve the radiator, valves, circulation, controls or the wider heating system.
We explain the findings and proposed work before you decide. Parts, replacement radiators, pipe alterations, decoration, removal and disposal must be agreed in the scope rather than assumed to be included.
Questions before you book
Can you replace a radiator I have bought?
Send the model, dimensions, valve details and photos of the existing radiator. We assess suitability, connections, fixings and access before agreeing the installation.
Does a cold radiator always need power flushing?
No. The cause needs assessment first. Power flushing is one possible service where appropriate, rather than an automatic answer to every cold radiator.
Can the valves be replaced without replacing the radiator?
That may be possible, depending on the fault, condition and compatibility. We confirm the work and any draining or refilling required before proceeding.
Is the replacement radiator included in the price?
Supply, labour, valves and other parts must be confirmed in the quote. Tell us if you are providing any items yourself.

Thermostatic radiator valve replacement
A leaking, seized or ineffective radiator valve can need attention without the whole radiator needing replacement. Send photos of both valves, the radiator connections and any visible leak. Tell us whether you want a like-for-like valve, thermostatic control or an assessment of a cold room.
Valve compatibility, existing controls, pipework and any draining, refilling or balancing needed are assessed before the work and price are agreed. A TRV does not replace the role of the main heating controls.
Heated towel rail installation and replacement
Send the rail dimensions, connection positions, wall details and proposed model. We assess heat output, space, fixings and pipe alterations. Tell us whether the rail is connected to central heating, electric or dual fuel; electrical work requires an appropriate assessment and allocation.
The quotation should state who supplies the rail and valves, what fitting and pipework are included, and the arrangements for electrical work, disposal and making good where relevant.
