Combi boiler repair & diagnostic visits.

No heating, no hot water, a leak or a fault code on a combi boiler? Send the model and symptoms so a suitable diagnostic visit can be reviewed.

What to tell us

Record the exact make, model and displayed fault code if available without removing covers. Explain whether heating, hot water or both are affected, and whether the problem is constant or intermittent.

Mention previous repairs and any current manufacturer cover. A fault code helps identify the starting point for investigation; it is not, by itself, a confirmed diagnosis.

The diagnostic visit and next steps

The diagnostic visit is £92.50 for the first 45 minutes. Minor adjustments may be possible within that time. Parts, extended investigation and further work are priced separately before proceeding; a completed repair is not guaranteed within the initial visit.

The engineer explains the findings and any proposed further work. If parts are needed, their availability and the next appointment depend on the model and the agreed repair.

Pressure loss, leaks or repeated faults

Report what you have observed and any messages on the display. Do not remove the casing, disturb gas fittings or keep attempting resets of a boiler you believe is unsafe.

A repair proposal depends on the findings. Power flushing, servicing or replacing a part is not assumed to be the answer before the fault is assessed.

When replacement is being considered

If repair options are limited by the condition or parts availability, ask for the alternatives and a separate replacement proposal. A diagnostic booking does not commit you to a new boiler.

Access and booking

Send the full address and postcode, symptoms, appliance details and access contact. Heating People operates from Leyton; the job, location and availability are reviewed before a visit is agreed. For a rented property, identify the person who authorises and pays as well as the occupier.

Where required, parking is £10 per hour. Key collection is £15, or £30 for collection and return. Tell us about permits, keys and any restricted access before the price is confirmed.

For a paid visit, Heating People reviews the scope and price before issuing a quote or invoice for advance payment. Once you have paid, your booking is confirmed. A two-hour arrival window can be confirmed on the day.
